MCC Promise

This past fall, the Rotary Club of Crystal Lake Dawnbreakers made a commitment to give 15% of the club's annual fundraising as a matching grant to the MCC Promise. The Board pledged this generous commitment - approximately $10,000 matching dollars annually - up to a total of $100,000. Funds are raised each year at the club's Western Auction to be held on February 27, 2010. From 2009, the Club had $9,600 available to be matched. The Rotary Dawnbreakers Task Force presented this concept to local Rotary Clubs and other service organizations to challenge the community to support the program. The Rotary Club of Crystal Lake Noon contributed $500 to be matched. In addition to matching service club donations, individual contributions also count toward the matching grant. On December 16, 2009 a check for $5,490 was presented by Dee Meyer, Dawnbreaker to Bill Brennan Executive Director for MCC Promise.
