We Dawnbreakers always have lots of fun opportunities for service in the springtime, and this year is no exception.
Saturday, April 14th
we'll be helping at the
Crystal Lake Food Pantry
noon-2:00

Saturday, April 21st
is our semi-annual Road Clean Up
This is in conjunction again with the
Crystal Lake Community Clean Up Day
That means we can wangle
a free breakfast and/or lunch.

Saturday, April 28th
we'll be helping
Habitat for Humanity.

Will they be taking advantage of
our siding expertise?

Tomorrow we'll also be discussing
our summer activities!

There were lots of happy dollars last week for another successful auction.
Matt and Sue D will soon be sending out a survey for us and our guests.

Our search for a new venue continues...
We all loved our breakfast at Colonial, however the manager called to say that the group that meets after us wants to get into the room before 7:30, and they've decided to let them.
Turns out they are a CL network group, one of several that meets there, which is why they have clout.
The manager also got into trouble with the owner for saying that he would open the doors before 6:30.

Their loss.
Onwards and upwards!

Several members feel that MCC would be too inconvenient.

It has been generally agreed that we need a private room, where we sit at tables rather than booths.
The parking lot and sidewalks have to be plowed and shoveled.  Ideally it would be best if the venue is not dependent on any one member.

The Pointe and the meeting room at CL Food Pantry are still being investigated as possible sites that we'd have catered.

We're open to any additional suggestions!
In the meantime it looks like we'll be at the H.I. April-June.
