Joe Helbling Vocational Scholarships

Objective:

To provide educational opportunities for men and women residing in Crystal Lake or are currently attending Crystal Lake Central, South and Prairie Ridge High Schools who are preparing for careers that require LESS THAN A FOUR-YEAR DEGREE (Associate Degree, Diploma or Certificate) in order to enter into those careers and become successful and productive.

Number of Scholarship Awards

Up to five scholarships in the amount of $1,000 each will be awarded to full-time students enrolled in a vocational degree or certificate program at an accredited school.  The award may be used for tuition, fees and/or books.  The scholarship will be paid directly to the educational institution.  Previous applicants must re-apply each year to be considered.

Eligibility

·        High School Graduate, GED, or non-traditional student re-entering a qualified program

·        Be accepted at a school of designation. 

·        Permanent residence in the Crystal LakeHigh School areas.

·        Pass an interview with the Vocational Service Avenue of Service members of the Dawnbreakers Rotary Club.

Winners will be notified via mail and certificates will be presented at your High School Awards Night.
