The Rotary Club of Crystal Lake Dawnbreakers is proud to host

Outbound Youth Exchange Student, Helen Albright for 2013-2014 Rotary year.

Rotary Youth Exchange students attend high school and spend about 11 months living with three host families.

Whether they participate in Rotary's long-term or short-term Youth Exchange programs, students learn a new way of living, a great deal about them selves, and usually a new language. Youth exchange students are ambassadors for their country, city, school, family and Rotary club.  They teach people they meet about their home, family, country, culture, and ideas. Exchange students learn that  differences are usually not wrong but simply different and their experiences help bring the people of the world closer, making our world better and establish some good friends in the process.

More than 8,000 young people each year participate in Rotary Youth Exchange and it is considered the opportunity of a lifetime.  Are you a parent of a student who may be interested in visiting another country?  Are you a student eager to learn more about school abroad? Would you like to host a student for about 3-4 months?  Contact Dawnbreaker Youth Exchange Officer, Karen Hutchings at khutchings991@comcast.net for more details.
