Volume 1 | Issue 20

Welcome to another issue of our weekly bulletin!
We'll try to keep everyone up-to-date on our weekly meetings and all our Dawnbreaker activities.

The Rotary Friendship Exchange Program
provides a means through which Rotarians in one part of the world can experience life in another country or culture.
Its goal is to advance international understanding and goodwill through person-to-person connections across national boundaries.

Six couples from Rotary District 3060 in West-Central India are visiting our district June 10-14th
Is there a Dawnbreaker willing to host one of the couples?
Responsibilities include providing breakfast and any dinners when the couple isn't busy with the group.
Transportation needs to be provided to and from the designated pickup spots for each day's activities.(I'm sure volunteers from the club would help with that.)
Please contact PDG Rick Rivkin, 847-909-9072

Have you registered for the District Conference?

Take a minute (OK, three minutes) and check out the video:

This year is going to be "short on speeches, long on fun"!
They are offering various package deals-it is a very family-friendly event

If that's too close to home for you...
How about the R.I.conference in Toronto?

The district is taking a party bus-some Dawnbreakers have already signed up!
Conference registration price will increase $80 April 1st.

A Foundation Moment, from our Foundation Chair, Terry, in sunny Anthem, AZ:

HOW DID THE ROTARY FOUNDATION GET STARTED?

The Rotary Foundation was created in 1917 by Rotary International’s sixth president, Arch C. Klumph, as an endowment fund for Rotary “to do good in the world.”

It has grown from an initial contribution in 1917 of $26.50 from the Rotary Club of Kansas City, Missouri to more than 2.663 billion dollars in total contributions.

The Rotary Foundation made its first grant of $500.00 to the International Society for Crippled Children in 1930, and to this day, it continues to “do good in the world” in the name of Rotary.

THANK YOU FOR SUPPORTING THE ROTARY FOUNDATION AND ITS WORK.
