Our club will be using the
District PR Grant to place an order with
Russell-Hampton.
Each member can choose an item and have the club subsidize $25 of the price.  There's lots of clothes to choose from, and any "outward facing" item with the club name/logo should qualify.  "Outward facing" refers to any item designed for the public to see.
Shirts, hats, license plate frames, etc., qualify.
Items for at-home or in-club use do not.
Email me (drmlbish1@aol.com) your item choice as we'll need to send everything in as one order, after district approval.

Foundation Minute Week 33

THE MONTH OF FEBRUARY INCLUDES
WORLD UNDERSTANDING AND PEACE DAY
FEBRUARY 23rd

The month of February is very special in the Rotary calendar because it includes the anniversary of the first meeting of Rotary held on February 23, 1905, now designated as the World Understanding and Peace Day. In designating World Understanding Month, the Rotary International board asks all Rotary clubs to plan special programs for their weekly meetings and undertake special activities to promote "understanding and goodwill as essential for world peace.”

To observe world understanding month, your club can have a variety of programs from arranging to have international speakers to inviting youth exchange students, international scholars, programs discussing  international issues, inviting local ethnic community leaders, presenting entertainment with an international cultural or artistic theme.

How will your club celebrate February 23rd—World Understanding and Peace Day?
(The Dawnbreakers will be toasting World Understanding and Peace Day at Jude's)
