Our club will be using the
District PR Grant to place an order with
Russell-Hampton.
Each member can choose an item and have the club subsidize $25 of the price.  There's lots of clothes to choose from, and any "outward facing" item with the club name/logo should qualify.  "Outward facing" refers to any item designed for the public to see.
Shirts, hats, license plate frames, etc., qualify.
Items for in-home or in-club use do not.
Email me (drmlbish1@aol.com) your item choice as we'll need to send everything in as one order, after district approval.

Foundation Minute-Week 29
Global Grants

DO LARGE GRANTS EVER TAKE PLACE IN NORTH AMERICA?

Yes! Rotary global grants can have large projects, scholarships, vocational teams all here in the US or in Canada...or in any Rotary country/region. One of the most amazing aspects of our great foundation is that there are opportunities for large projects wherever there is need. Criteria must be met, but there have been and will continue to be large-scale projects in “developed” countries.  For instance, in our own district 6440, we have two global grants—one in Schaumburg hosted by the Rotary Club of Schaumburg Hoffman-Estates, “Advancing Community Economics” at Harper College and in Northbrook the Rotary Club of Chicagoland Korean is hosting the “Cafe Voca vocational training for people with intellectual and  developmental disabilities.”

Do you know of a local need?
