Last week we welcomed Ed Faller, who visited us for the second time.  Ed moved here from the Edwardsville area, where he was a past president of his Rotary club.
Ed has also been on some RI international trips!

6440 District Conference
Terry, Sue D, Gary R, and Mary B
represented the Dawnbreakers at the Blue Harbor Resort in Sheboygan, WI
A beautiful venue, great speakers,
and the surprise of having all the cash bars instead be open bars, combined to make a great conference!

Individual balconies overlooking Lake Michigan
Great food and interesting speakers!
Gary and Sue R built a mini-library on behalf of the Dawnbreakers
and then joined the party in Sue D and Tom's room!

The installation party for
Dean and the '18-'19 Board
will be July 1st
Have you Saved The Date yet?
(Dave has!)

Just what are "points" anyway?
From Terry,
our '17-'18 Foundation Chair:

On the personal Rotary Foundation report that I handed out several meetings ago you will notice that there was a line titled “Points”.  What are these points and what can you do with them?

For every dollar that you give to The Rotary Foundation you are credited one “point”. These points are funny money like Monopoly money so once you accumulate 1000 points you can make a person of your choosing a Paul Harris Fellow.

It can be a spouse, a child or someone you want to recognize. If there was nothing on that line in your report then you have not reached 1000 points as of yet.

If you did not receive a report that means the report from RI lists you as $9,000+ so there is no way I can determine how far you are from the next level.  I do have a list of your points if you are interested in making someone a PHF.  Any questions, please email me or see me after a meeting.
