Dawnbreakers

Volume 2 | Issue 11

Welcome to another issue of our weekly bulletin
We'll try to keep everyone up-to-date on our weekly meetings and all our Dawnbreaker activities.
As kids we all would've loved growing up to climb trees for a living
Tomorrow morning
at
Country Inn and Suites
we learn if that's really
what Mark Mozuck does!

Our CLC Interact club will be visiting us
so please bring $$$$ for Pink-Out shirts
and also bring
auction basket items for their auction!

Jim will give a brief overview of
our Charity Fund Board and the current CFB bylaws.

We are still looking for another Dawnbreaker to serve on the committee to review the CFB bylaws.
It is a 3 year commitment,
please contact Dean if you're interested.
New (and newish) members are welcome!

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
Al$o tomorrow...
we're $till waiting for a winner!
over $1,100 is waiting for YOU
No, not as much as McHenry, but we have better odds and less traffic
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

A big Dawnbreaker welcome to our newest member,
Rob Owen
of the Salvation Army
Get to know Rob and you'll learn:
Rob originally joined the Salvation Army because he wanted to be in a band.   (He found a better reason to stay in it)
He's a member of the "International Oak Society" and studies all types and hybrids of oak trees
He speaks some Cymraeg
Rob rebuilds vintage bicycles
If it has to do with anything mechanical or electrical or automation, it sounds like Rob's done it!

Let's get a group and go together!

Board meetings are the first Tuesday evening of each month
Everyone is welcome to attend
The Board of Directors of our Charity Fund Board
meets the first Wednesday of every month
immediately after our regular Dawnbreaker meeting.

Our next Auction Planning meeting will be Wednesday Sept 26th
at 6:00-7:30 p.m. at Sue D's office.
Everyone welcome!

????????????????????????????????????????????????????
Dawnbreakers 22nd annual
Mystery Plane Trip
is the only MPT that became a mystery for the planners
as Hurricane Florence decided she might join us at our destination.
The No-Longer-A-Mystery Mystery Plane Trip
has been rescheduled for Nov 1st-4th

Yes, the clues really did mean something:

Clue #3:
Giraffes live on the _________
(Four of them because it's in the fourth state to join the union.)
Clue #5:
The devil went down to _________

Once the Dawnbreakers decided not to go to Savannah last weekend,
Florence decided to head north instead

A Foundation Moment, from Terry, our 18-19 Foundation Chair:

A Rotary Foundation Benefactor is a person who has notified The Rotary Foundation that he/she has made provisions in his/her final estate plans to Rotary, or made an outright gift of $1,000.00 or more, to the Rotary Foundation’s Endowment Fund.

Benefactors receive a certificate, a letter of appreciation and a royal blue and gold ribbon insignia to be attached to a Rotary or PHF pin.

A US $1,000.00 gift to The Foundation creates a legacy of helping people live better lives around the world.

We have 2 Benefactors in our club.  Please consider joining them.
