Dawnbreakers

Volume 3 | Issue 34

Welcome to another issue of our weekly bulletin
We'll try to keep everyone up-to-date on our weekly meetings and all our Dawnbreaker activities.
TOMORROW
MORNING
at Country Inn and Suites
our speaker was going to be
former Dawnbreaker
Sam Tenuto
from Pioneer Center/McHenry County PADS
who was going to tell us about the new homeless shelter
but Sam is sick, so he'll reschedule
and instead we'll talk about
Rotary Rocks the Raue
and
our role in the
Bob Blazier Run for the Arts

Also tomorrow,
we'll be inducting
Laura Franz
as the newest Dawnbreaker!
Laura is the Executive Director of TLS Veterans
Laura was going to be inducted last week, but she was sick!
We kind of have a theme going here...

But thank you both for staying home when ill!

Last week the club voted to do one District Grant next year for
Breakfast with Santa
and a second for
End Polio Now

So far we have 3 RYLA students from PR and 2 from Central

Also last week, Charlotte announced she will be leaving May 15th
So spend time with her now!

Lousy picture, but nice guy!
Incoming R.I. President Holger Knaap made a surprise visit to the
District 6440 breakout session at PETS this past weekend.
He began by saying how disappointed he was in us that when he arrived at the hotel at 1:40 a.m. (flight delays) the Hospitality Suites were already closed down.
He ended his talk with, "Everything we do in Rotary has to be fun"!

...and speaking of fun...
