PLAN NOW FOR SUCCESS
One of the best ways to ensure success is to start with a good plan.
As we close out the 2020-2021 Rotary year, we have focused on thanking our donors for their generosity, presented plans for local humanitarian service projects and ensured that our club donations to the Rotary Foundation were distributed to the global grants, PolioPlus, Disaster Response and other initiatives our club members wanted to support. Rotary International leaders have shared their goals for the 2021-22 Rotary year.
It’s now time for our Club and District leaders to do the same.
As you “Change the Guard” – a.k.a. your club’s leadership, take some time in the coming days to update your goals in Rotary Club Central. While at a minimum, those wishing to participate in our District Grants Program needed to set goals for Membership and giving to Polio as well as the Annual Fund, the rest of the goal-setting categories are also worth evaluating. Why not do this together on-line with your club’s Foundation and other club leaders on Zoom? With everyone on the same Rotary Club Central page?
Then, communicate and track your progress periodically with your club members – and consider sending in your donations throughout the year, rather than at year-end. Routine donations throughout the year, supplemented by proceeds from fundraisers, may result in higher donor participation, and more resources to do good in your community and throughout the world. As you track your progress, you’ll be glad you took the time to lay the groundwork for success!
